Catherine's Open House

"What's Missing?"這個遊戲我常常喜歡使用。
教新單字時最好用。玩這個遊戲，孩子們一下子就會記住所有單字了。今天我用前幾天介紹過的

 
「透明鉛筆袋」來玩喔。
首先，主教材Postcards 1的Unit 3，教到以下這些單字：
competition, dictionary, trick, nationality, equator, address, hockey, children, website
都是比較長、多音節、要注意重音的單字。

    
遊戲方法：
1.先熟悉這九個單字的唸法。（我會請學生標示母音音標、重音在課本單字表上。）
2.預先將紙摺好，寫好單字放進鉛筆袋。
3.將九個鉛筆袋放在黑板上(有吸鐵)。
4.全班一起跟老師唸單字。
5.聽老師指令"One, two, three."全班一起回答"Go to sleep."並趴下在桌上，不能讓老師看到眼睛。
6.老師取下一個鉛筆袋，藏好，然後說"Wake up! What's missing?"全班抬頭搶答，要說出不見的那個單字。
7.若舉手的小朋友答對，那一組可得分。

     
遊戲美語：
1. Please repeat after me.
2. Read the words together.
3. When I say, "One, two, three," please pretend to sleep on your desk. No peeping.
4. While you are sleeping, I 'll take away one word.
5. When you hear "Wake up," you can look at the board and find out the missing word.
6. Raise your hand as soon as possible, and then tell me the missing word.
     
   
進階玩法：
1.要求小朋友，不但要說出the missing word，還要造句。
2.一次拿走兩個字，增加困難度。
3.當小朋友趴下時，不但拿走單字，還快速將其他字卡調換位置，也是可增加困難度。
4.每組發給小白板，要拼出the missing word才算過關。


有了進階玩法後，應該就可適用於各班級、各程度的小朋友囉。
這個簡單的遊戲，我想老師們都會玩。
