Catherine's Open House

下禮拜四就是Thanksgiving Day，今天我在兩個班講了感恩節的由來、傳統，大家還一起畫了彩色火雞。

Joanne的圖一向受到大家喜愛，我的學生們也不例外。直說"So cute!" Step 1: Write sentences on the feathers using the sentence pattern " I'm thankful for..."  Step 2: Color the turkey's body and feathers. Step 3: Cut them out. Step 4: Paste every part of the turkey on the paper. 我讓每位孩子選一張A4的粉彩紙或書面紙。 組合好，就變成一隻turkey囉！這是Thanksgiving的象徵物喔。孩子們也可以在色紙其他地方塗鴉或是寫上句子。 這隻火雞值得一提，因為Jason在塗膠水時，不慎膠水的頭爆開，於是弄得色紙都是膠水。大家都笑了。還說：你這隻是「淹水雞」吧。 這隻是可愛雞囉。 這位Jet寫著：I'm thankful for money. I'm thankful for music...  Jennifer寫著I'm thankful for the earth. I'm thankful for the city.當然，太陽、空氣、水，也是值得感恩。最下面的句子： Thanks for all I've got. 在陽光照耀下，這隻turkey特別有精神，旁邊還有牠的飼料盒喔， Dan真細心！Thanks for people everywhere. 孩子們，真的有用心體會喔。 這個作品，我看著小朋友是用粉蠟筆上點色，再用手指把顏色暈開的。色澤蠻特殊的。感謝the doctor、police officers都是孩子們自己想到、說出來的。 最後，我們一起在作品後面貼了軟磁鐵或是粘土，將作品貼在佈告欄。謝謝欣賞！
